There is a part of me that likes the idea of "a diffused spiritual super-gas" but I agree with you that there is more.... but some how the word "being" for me tends to limit the reality? .... but all human language does that anyway. I have experiences of God that can be described as a "calling" or a "challenging" and sometimes an "affirming" - a consciousness encountering a consciousness. - a mind to mind, heart to heart encounter. The Apostle Paul (who often annoys me with his thinking) has a comment about the reality of God - "which surpasses all knowledge". Thanks for the comment, helpful.Dave Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08105485815295009019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2555401000292835065.post-65166668322225670062017-03-07T12:54:34.894-08:002017-03-07T12:54:34.894-08:00I appreciate everything you have written here. I m...I appreciate everything you have written here. I might take issue with the idea that God is not a being. I see us all as part and parcel of God, and there is nothing that is not God. Is that the same as “permeating”? I’m not so sure. I don’t really see God that way, like some sort of diffused spiritual super-gas. I experience a cohesiveness of intelligence with God that I do not confuse with a form or a location. To me, God is the supreme consciousness. By that I mean I agree with you that relationships and all of real life are God, but I also think that there is a supremely intelligent and conscious being that is aware of itself and all of us. I think we arise as part of God; he doesn’t arise because of all of us. Is that merely a difference of perspective? I don’t even think I am saying God came first, necessarily. But, still, God is the Original to me.Anthonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05337203986476026556noreply@blogger.com
